C-Flange
The C-Flanges are in the Ramp portion of the A400M Cargo Hold. They are electro-mechanical units that are used to secure cargo from forward-aft and vertical up movement (XZ Restraint). They are operated electrically via actuators for loading, unloading, and jettisoning, but can also be operated manually if required. The C-Flanges are also monitored electrically by two proximity sensors. There are eight C-Flanges in the standard A400M Ramp.
