Ramp Bridge Rail

Ramp Bridge Rail

The Ramp Bridge Rail is used to tie the aft Cargo Hold rail to the forward Ramp Rail on the left side of the aircraft. They attach to the Y-Z Guide rails via a 1⁄4 turn quick-release mechanism. When installed, the Rail Bridge creates a continuous rail surface for the EFTC (Extraction Force Transfer Coupling) actuator arm to ride on. The Ramp Bridge Rail and EFTC device are only needed for Aerial Delivery by parachute extraction missions, so it is designed to be removed from the rails and stowed when not in use.
